MasterDrive History and Growth
- September 1998-Business begins in a 4,000 sq. ft. warehouse with a limited line of sheaves in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
- February 1999-1st Regional warehouse opened.
- January 2000-Business incorporated in the USA.
- September 2001-Expanded the QD Sheave and Bushing product lines offering and added type AL /VL/VP Variable Pitch Sheaves for the HVAC industry
- March 2002-Added machine shop for product modification capability.
- 2003-Added Jaw Coupling product line.
- 2005-Business is expanded to include 9 Regional warehouse to better serve our expanding customer base and provide quick deliveries
- 2005-Added first Belting products and Weld-On hubs.
- February 2007-1st warehouse in Eastern Canada.
- October 2007-Business is moved from Whitewater to Fort Atkinson, WI. Warehouse space is expanded to 25,000 sq. ft.
- 2008-Rented extra 10,000 sq. ft. of warehouse.
- July 2009-Canadian business license obtained.
- April 2010-Purchased first CNC machine to improve the efficency and speed of handling customer product modifications.
- August 2010-Opened warehouse in Western Canada.
- January 2011-Added 1-4 groove Taper Lock Bushed and DST-Double Split Taper Sheaves.
- February 2011-Added sales coverage of Mexico, Latin America and South America.
- June 2013-L and H Timing Pulleys added
- April 2015-Fort Atkinson, WI Main Warehouse is expanded by 13,000 sq. ft. for a total of 38,000 sq. ft.
- July 2015-MasterDrive business is currently supported by 12 Regional Warehouses, 18 Rep companies, and 55 Outside Salesmen. 7,000 part numbers are stocked to serve our 2900 customers.
- August 2018-New machines added to our machine shop in Fort Atkinson, WI to increase our machining capabilities.
- September 2018-Added HTD Timing Pulley product line.
- December 2019-Added MD Flex Couplings
