MasterDrive Material Specifications
MasterDrive Sheaves, Bushings, and
Jaw Coupling hubs are made from either Gray Cast Iron ASTM 25-35 grades, Ductile Iron meeting
ASTM 65-45-12 and 80-55-06 or Powdered Metal meeting FTG70CU-35.
We can handle parts from a few inches in diameter to up to 6,000 lbs. cast weight. All forgings
come from our foundry allowing for the most stringent control of all material from castings to the finished product.
Our sheaves are phosphorated before painting to prevent rust and increase cohesion between the metal and paint. They are then given a machine grey baked enamel paint finish for a long lasting clean appearance.
Bushings and jaw coupling hubs receive the phosphate coate but are not painted.
